Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand
Organisational Structure of Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand
Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand is headed by the Commander Joint Forces New Zealand, Major General, Martyn Dunne, CNZM, who reports to the Chief of Defence Force.
Commander Joint Forces New Zealand is responsible for the:
- Maritime Component Commander
- the Land Component Commander,
- the Air Component Commander although these commanders are also overseen by their Chiefs of Service.
Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand is separated into four divisions.
The first division is the Joint Command Division and is made up of:
- the Office of Commander Joint Forces New Zealand (J0)
- the Office of the Chief of Staff (J01)
- the Joint Coordination Branch (J03)
- the Legal Section (J09).
The second division is the Joint Plans and Development Division which is made up of:
- the Joint Plans Branch (J5)
- the Joint Training Coordination Branch (J7)
- the Joint Requirements Evaluation Doctrine Branch (J8).
The third division is the Joint Support Division which is made up of:
- the Joint Personnel Branch (J1), which is separated into the:
- Health Operations Section
- the Deployed Personnel Support Centre.
- the Joint Logistics Branch (J4)
- the Joint Finance Branch (J9)
The fourth division is the Joint Operations Division and is made up of:
- the Joint Intelligence Branch (J2), which is then separated into the:
- Joint Electronic Warfare Coordination Centre
- the Maritime Intelligence Coordination Centre.
- the Joint Operations Branch (J3), which is separated into the:
- Joint Watch Centre
- the Joint Movements Operations Centre
- the Naval Control of Shipping Operations Centre.
- the Joint Communications and Information Systems Branch (J6).
