The New Zealand Army
Organisational Structure of the New Zealand Army
The New Zealand Army is headed by the chief of Army, Major General J. Mateparae, ONZM, ADC, who reports to the Chief of Defence Force.
The Chief of Army is responsible for Army General Staff (Wellington) which is made up of:
- Coordination
- Policy and Plans
- Development
- Resources
- Inspector General (Army).
and includes:
- Human Resources Executive
- Logistics Executive (Trentham).
Chief of Army is responsible for:
- Base Depot Trentham
- Army Training Group Waiouru.
The Chief of Army has oversight of the Land Component Commander at Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand.
The Land Component Commander is responsible for:
- Two Land Force Group (Linton) (Including Force Intelligence Group Trentham)
- Three Land Force Group (Christchurch)
- Force Troops, which is made up of:
- One New Zealand SAS Group (Papakura)
- Force Military Police (Trentham).
