Figure five outlines the Evaluation Areas for integrated, joint Defence Evaluation Staff and their reporting responsibilities.
The Evaluation Area is led by the Head of Defence Evaluation who reports to both Secretary of Defence and Chief of the Defence Force. The Senior Military Evaluator reports directly to the head of evaluation but also maintains a separate channel to the Chief of the Defence Force.
The Head of Defence Evaluation receives reports from four areas: Defence contributions to outcome assessments; Defence organisation outputs/policy effectiveness assessments; defence organisation efficiency and effectiveness assessments; and current military capability assessments. Current military capability assessments also has a separate reporting link to the Senior Military Evaluator.
