The Minister of Defence Awards of Excellence to Industry were established by the New Zealand Defence Industry Advisory Council (NZDIAC) in 1998. These Awards highlight and reward the contribution made by industry to Defence.
The NZDIAC seeks nominations from industry and oversees the selection process for the Awards of Excellence. The Awards, which are presented by the Minister of Defence, recognise excellence in a number of categories with nominations sought from across the New Zealand Defence Force and the Ministry of Defence.
