Defence Policy Review: survey results
A summary of feedback from the New Zealand public from a survey developed by Kantar Public to provide input for the Defence Policy Review. This document provides an overview from the 8,578 responses provided via an anonymous online survey.
As part of the Defence Policy Review, the Ministry of Defence and the New Zealand Defence Force sought input from a range of people via an online survey open to all New Zealanders.
Key partners and other interested parties were asked for their input on two broad topics:
- The relative importance of the Defence Force’s roles.
- Perceived threats to New Zealand’s safety and security in the next ten years and perceptions of the Defence Force’s readiness to meet the threats.
This document summarises the input provided. A separate document summarises input from defence industry on specific topics.
